Lost Redux: Wow. Just...Wow. We Finally Know What the Island Is

Dear Academy of Television Arts and Sciences: You can just go ahead and give Nestor Carbonell that Emmy he clearly earned on tonight's Lost. No, there's no need to vote or anything! It's a done deal. Thanks.

Dear Lost fans: Holy @#$%! Was that an amazing episode or was that a mind-blowingly amazing episode wrapped in all kinds of fantastic!

Get on in here for scoop on what sure feels like the best Lost episode yet this season (ever?!) where we finally found out what that damn island is, and Richard Alpert ripped our hearts out with a shiv...

That Four-Letter Word! After much vague and (sorry) probably annoying teasing on my part, you all finally learned the four-letter word that describes the island tonight: CORK! One O. No A's. No E's. And you better not whine. (Get it?) In case you missed it, here are the uber-important mythological words you must devour, ponder and treasure, courtesy of the Almighty Jacob (whom I finally believe is fully good despite his nefarious beginnings on Dexter):

"Think of this wine as what you keep calling hell," Jacob (Mark Pellegrino) tells Richard Alpert, holding the wine bottle. "There's many other names for it too--malevolence, evil, darkness, and here it is, swirling around in the bottle unable to get out because if it did, it would spread. The cork is this island. And it's the only thing keeping the darkness where it belongs."

So Now We Know What the Island Is: Or rather, what it does. It prevents all Evil (the Man in Black) from seeping out into the rest of the world, which would be a very bad thing. We had hints of this with Hurley's numbers, which came from the island (overheard by military personnel stationed in the Pacific) and wreaked all kinds of havoc on Hugo's loved ones. Imagine, if those numbers are a teensy trickle of wine that aerated out, what the entire bottle would do to the world as we know it. Not good.

And Now We Know Why the Losties Are There: "That man who sent you to kill me [the Man in Black] believes that everyone is corruptible because it's in their very nature to sin," Jacob explains. "I bring people here to prove him wrong and when they get here, their past doesn't matter. I [want] them to help themselves to know the difference between right and wrong without me having to tell them. It's all meaningless if I have to force them to do anything."

The Island Is a Sort of Purgatory: It's not hell, and the Losties aren't dead. But they are given a second chance at reclaiming their innocence because "their past doesn't matter." Redemption is a very real element of this island and very much attainable unless you're poor Sayid.

Sob! Call me a sap, but I started tearing up when Jacob described the island and then touched Richard (just as he has the Losties on the list of candidates) to give him eternal life. Such a great, emotional payoff to so many big questions. But the waterworks really came right after--in the scene with Richard and Isabella's ghost communicating through Hurley, which has to be one of the most spine-tingly epic scenes of this series so far. And it just sets up where everything is heading…

More Four-Play: Just what you wanted (no?) a new four letter word that will be revealed in two weeks which is very important. If you want to play along, here goes: This word has no A's, one E, and as of episode 11 it will be clear that this four-letter word is what this series is ultimately all about. It's also the word that just might end up connecting the two worlds (the island and the Flash-Sideways Los Angeles) we've been seeing all season long.

Scoop on next week's episode:

* There's a reveal about Jin and Sun that will shock you. They are *o* *a*****!
* We'll see Daniel Dae Kim shirtless. (You're welcome, Josh Holloway, who lobbied for that. And you're welcome, world.)
* Fake Locke reveals what they need to leave the island.
* We learn that a female Lostie is "expendable."
* There will be a "package."

Got Q's for Nestor Carbonell? In the middle of watching this insane episode, I booked some phone time with Nestor because clearly, there are things we must discuss! Send me your questions/comments for Nestor via Twitter @kristinalert, via email tvdiva@eonline.com or in the comments below. Then check back tomorrow afternoon for answers.

Favorite Comment of the Night So Far: "So the island is on top of a hellmouth? Forget the Oceanic 6 and the rest of them. What we need is Buffy and the gang to cork it."--Avond76 via Twitter

What did you think of tonight's episode? Agree that it's the best so far this season? Anyone think it's the best episode of all seasons? Discuss!

The venue was a five star hotel, and it was filled with stars, who joined the ‘Aadhavan’ team to celebrate its 100 days of running in theatres.

The chief guest was Padmashri Kamal Haasan, who looked simply charming with his charismatic smile in a white kurta pyjama. The lead pair, Suriya and Nayanthara, was all smiles, while yesteryear actress B.Saroja Devi was very happy to see Kamal on the dias.

Kamal later distributed the 100 days’ souvenir to the entire team of ‘Aadhavan’. Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin was playing the perfect host to all his guests

Vadivelu to play 25 characters

Perhaps for the first time in the world, an actor will play 25 different characters in a multilingual film, to be reportedly made on a whopping budget of Rs 150 crore. The movie titled ‘Ulagam’ will be directed by Adham Bava, a close associate of an actor-politician and will have Vadivelu making the feat.

Without affecting his other commitments, Vadivelu has allocated 175 days for this comedy caper, which will be shot all over the world, apt to its title. About 10 actresses will share the screen space with the comedian in this movie, it is said.

Plans are on to rope in Hollywood make-up specialists and computer graphics technicians, since the makers don’t want to compromise on quality. The film will be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, we learn.

It is also said attempts will be made to occupy a place in the Guinness book of world records, since the film will have many first-of-its-kind experiments, including an actor playing 25 characters. “You will come to know other things after an official announcement,” sources say.

Tamil Comedy Dialogues

Tamil comedy super star Goundamani sir’s comedies are a true reflection of his supreme self-confidence. He hasn’t got the looks of tom cruise, yet he kalaaichifies (for want of a better term) others’ looks and uses the terms like ‘karichatti mandaya’, ‘komutti thalaya’.

He hasn’t got a PhD from harward, yet he makes fun of others’ lack of education, and contends that he is the most intelligent man after G.D.Naidu.

He doesn’t spare the heroes either. When Gounder gets going, heroes always play a second fiddle.

Is he a hypocrite? Nopes, that would be a simplistic way to gauge his comedies. Rather, I would say that his comedies are based on purest principles – celebration of free-spirit. His uninhibited and no-holds-barred approach to comedy not only entertains us, but also has an underlying message – “No matter what, don’t give up your self-confidence, a wee bit. Even if you are dumb”.

According to me, he is the most intelligent comedian ever. Slapstick, Social-message, timing, Crude/Crass humour, Romance – his comedy had it all, and a few more. Long live god of comedy!!

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie (born Angelina Jolie Voight; June 4, 1975) is an American actress. She has received three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and an Academy Award. Jolie has promoted humanitarian causes throughout the world, and is noted for her work with refugees as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She has been cited as one of the world's most beautiful women and her off-screen life is widely reported.
Though she made her screen debut as a child alongside her father Jon Voight in the 1982 film Lookin' to Get Out, Jolie's acting career began in earnest a decade later with the low-budget production Cyborg 2 (1993). Her first leading role in a major film was in Hackers (1995). She starred in the critically acclaimed biographical films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999). Jolie achieved wider fame after her portrayal of video game heroine Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), and since then has established herself as one of the best-known and highest-paid actresses in Hollywood. She has had her biggest commercial successes with the action-comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and the animated film Kung Fu Panda (2008).
Divorced from actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, Jolie currently lives with actor Brad Pitt, in a relationship that has attracted worldwide media attention. Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, as well as three biological children, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.

Early life and family
Born in Los Angeles, California, Jolie is the daughter of actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. She is the niece of Chip Taylor, sister of James Haven and the god-daughter of Jacqueline Bisset and Maximilian Schell. On her father's side, Jolie is of Czechoslovak and German descent, and on her mother's side she is French Canadian and is said to be part Iroquois. However, Voight has claimed Bertrand was "not seriously Iroquois", and they merely said it to enhance his ex-wife's exotic background.
After her parents' separation in 1976, Jolie and her brother were raised by their mother, who abandoned her acting ambitions and moved with them to Palisades, New York.As a child, Jolie regularly saw movies with her mother and later explained that this had inspired her interest in acting; she had not been influenced by her father. When she was eleven years old, the family moved back to Los Angeles and Jolie decided she wanted to act and enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where she trained for two years and appeared in several stage productions.
At the age of 14, she dropped out of her acting classes and dreamed of becoming a funeral director. During this period, she wore black clothing, dyed her hair purple and went out moshing with her live-in boyfriend. Two years later, after the relationship had ended, she rented an apartment above a garage a few blocks from her mother's home. She returned to theatre studies and graduated from high school, though in recent times she has referred to this period with the observation, "I am still at heart—and always will be—just a punk kid with tattoos".
She later recalled her time as a student at Beverly Hills High School (later Moreno High School), and her feeling of isolation among the children of some of the area's more affluent families. Jolie's mother survived on a more modest income, and Jolie often wore second-hand clothes. She was teased by other students who also targeted her for her distinctive features, for being extremely thin, and for wearing glasses and braces. Her self-esteem was further diminished when her initial attempts at modeling proved unsuccessful. She started to cut herself; later commenting, "I collected knives and always had certain things around. For some reason, the ritual of having cut myself and feeling the pain, maybe feeling alive, feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me."[
Jolie has been long estranged from her father. The two tried to reconcile and he appeared with her in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001). In July 2002, Jolie filed a request to legally change her name to "Angelina Jolie", dropping Voight as her surname; the name change was made official on September 12, 2002. In August of the same year, Voight claimed that his daughter had "serious mental problems" on Access Hollywood. Jolie later indicated that she no longer wished to pursue a relationship with her father, and said, "My father and I don't speak. I don't hold any anger toward him. I don't believe that somebody's family becomes their blood. Because my son's adopted, and families are earned." She stated that she did not want to publicize her reasons for her estrangement from her father, but because she had adopted her son, she did not think it was healthy for her to associate with Voight.
Career
Early work, 1993–1997
Jolie began working as a fashion model when she was 14 years old, modeling mainly in Los Angeles, New York and London. At that time she also appeared in numerous music videos, including those of Meat Loaf ("Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through"), Antonello Venditti ("Alta Marea"), Lenny Kravitz ("Stand by My Woman"), and The Lemonheads ("It's About Time"). At the age of 16, Jolie returned to theatre and played her first role as a German dominatrix. She began to learn from her father, as she noticed his method of observing people to become like them. Their relationship during this time was less strained, with Jolie realizing that they were both "drama queens".
Jolie appeared in five of her brother's student films, made while he attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts, but her professional movie career began in 1993, when she played her first leading role in the low-budget film Cyborg 2, as Casella "Cash" Reese, a near-human robot, designed to seduce her way into a rival manufacturer's headquarters and then self-detonate. Following a supporting role in the independent film Without Evidence, Jolie starred as Kate "Acid Burn" Libby in her first Hollywood picture, Hackers (1995), where she met her first husband Jonny Lee Miller. The New York Times wrote, "Kate (Angelina Jolie) stands out. That's because she scowls even more sourly than [her co-stars] and is that rare female hacker who sits intently at her keyboard in a see-through top. Despite her sullen posturing, which is all this role requires, Ms. Jolie has the sweetly cherubic looks of her father, Jon Voight." The movie failed to make a profit at the box-office, but developed a cult following after its video release.
She appeared as Gina Malacici in the 1996 comedy Love Is All There Is, a modern-day loose adaptation of Romeo and Juliet set among two rival Italian family restaurant owners in the Bronx, New York. In the road movie Mojave Moon (1996) she was a youngster, named Eleanor Rigby, who falls for Danny Aiello's character, while he takes a shine to her mother, played by Anne Archer. In 1996, Jolie also portrayed Margret "Legs" Sadovsky, one of five teenage girls who form an unlikely bond in the film Foxfire after they beat up a teacher who has sexually harassed them. The Los Angeles Times wrote about her performance, "It took a lot of hogwash to develop this character, but Jolie, Jon Voight's knockout daughter, has the presence to overcome the stereotype. Though the story is narrated by Maddy, Legs is the subject and the catalyst."
In 1997, Jolie starred with David Duchovny in the thriller Playing God, set in the Los Angeles underworld. The movie was not received well by critics and Roger Ebert noted that "Angelina Jolie finds a certain warmth in a kind of role that is usually hard and aggressive; she seems too nice to be [a criminal's] girlfriend, and maybe she is." She then appeared in the television movie True Women, a historical romantic drama set in the American West, and based on the book by Janice Woods Windle. That year she also appeared in the music video for "Anybody Seen My Baby?" by the Rolling Stones.
Breakthrough, 1997–2000
Jolie's career prospects began to improve after her performance as Cornelia Wallace in the 1997 biographical film George Wallace for which she won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award. Gary Sinise starred as Alabama Governor George Wallace. The film, directed by John Frankenheimer, was praised by critics and, among other awards, received the Golden Globe for Best Miniseries/Motion Picture made for TV. She played the second wife of the former segregationist governor who was shot and paralyzed while running in 1972 for U.S. President.
In 1998, Jolie starred in HBO's Gia, portraying supermodel Gia Carangi. The film depicted a world of sex, drugs and emotional drama, and chronicled the destruction of Carangi's life and career as a result of her drug addiction, and her decline and death from AIDS. Vanessa Vance from Reel.com noted, "Angelina Jolie gained wide recognition for her role as the titular Gia, and it's easy to see why. Jolie is fierce in her portrayal—filling the part with nerve, charm, and desperation—and her role in this film is quite possibly the most beautiful train wreck ever filmed." For the second consecutive year, Jolie won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award. She also won her first Screen Actors Guild Award. In accordance with Lee Strasberg's method acting, Jolie reportedly preferred to stay in character in between scenes during many of her early films, and as a result had gained a reputation for being difficult to deal with. While shooting Gia, she told her then-husband Jonny Lee Miller that she would not be able to phone him: "I'd tell him: 'I'm alone; I'm dying; I'm gay; I'm not going to see you for weeks.'"
Following Gia, Jolie moved to New York and stopped acting for a short time, because she felt that she had "nothing else to give". She enrolled at New York University to study filmmaking and attended writing classes. She described it as "just good for me to collect myself" on Inside the Actors Studio.
Jolie returned to film as Gloria McNeary in the 1998 gangster movie Hell's Kitchen, and later that year appeared in Playing by Heart, part of an ensemble cast that included Sean Connery, Gillian Anderson, Ryan Phillippe and Jon Stewart. The film received predominantly positive reviews and Jolie was praised in particular. The San Francisco Chronicle wrote, "Jolie, working through an overwritten part, is a sensation as the desperate club crawler learning truths about what she's willing to gamble."Jolie won the Breakthrough Performance Award by the National Board of Review.
In 1999, she starred in Mike Newell's comedy-drama Pushing Tin, co-starring John Cusack, Billy Bob Thornton, and Cate Blanchett. Jolie played Thornton's seductive wife. The film received a mixed reception from critics and Jolie's character was particularly criticized. The Washington Post wrote, "Mary (Angelina Jolie), a completely ludicrous writer's creation of a free-spirited woman who weeps over hibiscus plants that die, wears lots of turquoise rings and gets real lonely when Russell spends entire nights away from home." She then worked with Denzel Washington in The Bone Collector (1999), an adapted crime novel written by Jeffery Deaver. Jolie played Amelia Donaghy, a police officer haunted by her cop father's suicide, who reluctantly helps Washington track down a serial killer. The movie grossed $151 million worldwide, but was a critical failure. The Detroit Free Press concluded, "Jolie, while always delicious to look at, is simply and woefully miscast."
"Jolie is emerging as one of the great wild spirits of current movies, a loose cannon who somehow has deadly aim."
Roger Ebert on Jolie's performance in Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Jolie next took the supporting role of the sociopathic Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted (1999), a film that tells the story of mental patient Susanna Kaysen, and which was adapted from Kaysen's original memoir of the same name. While Winona Ryder played the main character in what was hoped to be a comeback for her, the film instead marked Jolie's final breakthrough in Hollywood. She won her third Golden Globe Award, her second Screen Actors Guild Award and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Variety noted, "Jolie is excellent as the flamboyant, irresponsible girl who turns out to be far more instrumental than the doctors in Susanna's rehabilitation".
In 2000, Jolie appeared in her first summer blockbuster, Gone In 60 Seconds, in which she played Sarah "Sway" Wayland, ex-girlfriend of car-thief Nicolas Cage. The role was small, and the Washington Post criticized that "all she does in this movie is stand around, cooling down, modeling those fleshy, pulsating muscle-tubes that nest so provocatively around her teeth." She later explained that the film was a welcome relief after the heavy role of Lisa Rowe, and it became her highest grossing movie up until then, earning $237 million internationally

Genelia D'Souza

Genelia D'Souza (born on August 5, 1987) is an Indian film actress, model, and host. She has appeared in Telugu and Hindi language films, as well as Tamil and Kannada language films. D'Souza first hit the limelight in a Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan. She made her acting debut in the Hindi movie Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003, which failed to propel her career in Bollywood, but soon achieved recognition in the Tamil film Boys the same year. She subsequently acted in many Telugu movies during from 2003 to 2005, which earned her recognition in the Telugu film industry.

D'Souza received her first Telugu Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 2006 for her performance in the romantic film, Bommarillu, which earned her critical acclaim. She made her Kannada debut in 2007 in Satya In Love. She made a comeback to Bollywood in 2008, and was appreciated for her performance in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na. In addition to movie acting, D'Souza hosts the television show Big Switch, and is the brand ambassador of Fanta, Virgin Mobile and Perk in India.

Early life and educational background

Born in Mumbai into a Mangalorean Catholic family, D'Souza was raised a Roman Catholic in the Bandra suburb of Mumbai. Her mother Jeanette D'Souza was formerly a secretary to managing director with a Pharma MNC, who left her job in 2004 to help Genelia with her career. Her father Neil D'Souza, is a senior official with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). She also has a younger brother, Nigel D'Souza. According to D'Souza, her name "Genelia", means "rare" or "unique", and is a portmanteau of Jeanette and Neil, her mother and father's name. She is also often informally referred to as Geenu, her nick name.D'Souza studied at the Apostolic Carmel High School in Bandra and later joined St. Andrew's College in Bandra to pursue her Bachelor's Degree of Management Studies. She completed her degree while shooting for her first film, Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003, and initially thought that an MNC job would suit her. She liked sports and studies in college, and was also a State level athlete, sprinter and a National level Football player.D'Souza did her first modeling assignment at age 15, the result of being spotted as the bridesmaid at a wedding. She was selected for the Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan, just two days before her exams, and had to shoot the next day. Initially she refused, because of her exam the next day, but the director persuaded D'Souza to shoot for the commercial.

She gained wide attention from the Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan, who said "she was good, and her expressions were spontaneous". She further did a Fair and Lovely 2003 Cricket World Cup advertisement with cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth.

Acting career

Debut and breakthrough, 2003–2005

When D'Souza was offered a role in Tujhe Meri Kasam, initially she turned it down, as she was not keen to pursue a career in acting. But they insisted and kept contacting her for two months, and she agreed when she saw the Telugu version of the movie.D'Souza made her acting debut in Bollywood in 2003,with Tujhe Meri Kasam, alongside Ritesh Deshmukh. The movie centers on two friends, who study in the same college, have houses opposite each other, and were born in the same hospital on the same day. D'Souza portrayed Anju, one of the friends. The movie garnered poor box office returns, and it failed to propel her career in Bollywood. Following her poor debut in Bollywood, she decided to act in South Indian films.Tamil director, S. Shankar, was impressed with her performance in the Parker Pen commercial and decided to cast her in a leading role in his 2003 Tamil film Boys, a story about about five teenagers having stereotypical teen-boy fantasies.D'Souza portrayed the character of Harini, a girl who falls in love with one of the boys from the group. The movie was well received, and subsequently she started receiving Telugu film offers.

She left Tamil cinema for a while to concentrate on the Telugu film industry. She made her Telugu debut in Satyam in 2003 opposite Sumanth, in which she played the role of a medical student, for which she was praised for her performance. The movie was a box-office success, and it raised her profile in the Telugu film industry. Broader public recognition came to D'Souza in her second Hindi movie, Masti in 2004, which was also opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. The comedy focuses on three close friends who reunite after three years, but are now married and are being harassed by their wives. D'Souza portrayed the character of one of the wives. Indian film critic Taran Adarsh was complimentary of D'Souza's role, saying, "Amongst the wives, Genelia is the best, [...] Genelia looks the stern and demanding wife and is sure to be noticed." This film was a critical success, and also fared well at the UK box office. The same year, she appeared in the Telugu fim Samba. Her final Telugu movie in 2004 was Sye, set against a rugby union backdrop, in which she played the role of a vivacious college student.

In 2005, D'Souza experienced a slump in her career. Her first Telugu movie in 2005, Naa Alludu, was commercially unsuccessful. Later that year, she starred in the Tamil romantic entertainer Sachein, in which she played the role of Shalini, a typical fashionable college-going Tamil girl. A review in the The Hindu noted, "Genelia, who hardly made an impression in Boys, makes much impact in Sachein." The movie evoked mixed response from audiences, but was well received with the younger generation, and was a commercial success. She later appeared in the Telugu patriotic movie Subhash Chandra Bose set against a backdrop of Pre-independece period, which was also an economic failure.

Turning point in South Indian films, 2006–April 2008

The year 2006 marked a significant turning point in D'Souza's career. She completed two Telugu movies in early 2006, one was the romantic comedy Happy, and the other was Raam. She then portrayed the role of Haasini, a vibrant, effervescent and a happy-go-lucky young girl, in the 2006 Telugu romantic film Bommarillu, alongside Siddharth Narayan. The movie, a blockbuster at the box-office, grossed Rs 250 million (US$ 5.48 million) in India, and also won the 2006 Golden Nandi award. Her character was well-received by critics, and garnered her the Telugu Filmfare Award for Best Actress, besides Nandi Special Jury Award and Santosham Award for Best Actress. Following the success of Bommarillu, D'Souza played the role of the daughter of a local don, in the Tamil gangster film Chennai Kadhal. D'Souza's performance received ambivalent reviews. While The Hindu praised her performance, Rediff criticized her commenting, "Genelia stands up yet again to prove the point that if you are pretty and well dressed, you can get away with anything, without acting."

Shortly afterwards in 2007, D'Souza played the role of sister of a notorious gangster in the blockbuster Telugu movie Dhee. Her performance was appreciated, netting her the FNCC Best Actress Award. The following year, D'Souza appeared in the 2008 Telugu romatic thriller Mr. Medhavi, in which she portrayed the role of a student from Canada. The movie was moderately successful, nonetheless D'Souza was complimented for her performance. She made her Kannada debut in Satya In Love the same year, in which she was appreciated for her smile. Later, she was cast in a leading role in Santhosh Subramaniam, a Tamil remake of Bommarillu. The film also turned out to be rather successful as its predecessor. Sify described D'Souza's portrayal as "the soul of the film" and the film's "biggest strength", however Rediff described her character as "appears a little too good to be true."

Return to Bollywood and recent work, June 2008–present

In June 2008, she once again appeared in Bollywood in Mere Baap Pehle Aap alongside Akshaye Khanna. Her performance received predominantly positive reviews, with a Rediff review noting, "besides her apparent cuteness, brings in tons of freshness and traits to the youthful characters she chooses to play", and a Sify review criticizing, "Genelia is sprightly but has a standard two-three expressions bank in this film." She later appeared in the Telugu love story Ready alongside Ram, which was well received. Her breakthrough performance in 2008 was through the portrayal of the role of Aditi Mahant in the blockbuster Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, which was an economic success across India and overseas, grossing Rs 564.1 million (US$ 12.35 million). Her role was widely admired for her sweetness and freshness, and new style of acting, with Rediff describing her acting as a "spark that has been missing in Hindi cinema for well over a decade now".
